*All of the above prize money is based on a minimum of 32 paid teams for a total payout. The Hooters Bonanza requires a separate entry of $300 per team. All money winners will be issued 1099’s.

CALOOSA TOURNAMENT SERIES RULES

The Summer Slam Shootout is an inshore tournament for ladies and gentlemen. All scoring will be done by the official weighmaster Bob Wasno at the Pink Shell Beach Resort and Spa Marina on Fort Myers Beach. Winners will be determined by the highest total weight scored per fish caught per eligible species. The official and final rules will be provided and covered at the official Captains Meeting Friday night September 24th 2010. All Anglers are responsible for having knowledge of the tournament rules and applicable Florida State Fishing Laws. The Caloosa Tournament Series may again be a televised tournament. All participants agree to make their boat and team available to cameramen and camera boats during the entirety of any Caloosa Tournament Series Event.

Wade fishing is Allowed.

  • At least one team member must remain in the boat;
  • Tournament boats may not run their big motor while they have waders in the water;
  • Waders must remain within 100 yards of their boat;
  • Wade fisherman must land their own fish.

FISH AN UNLIMITED NUMBER OF ANGLERS - WEIGH-IN BY 5:00pm

  • There is no longer a lines out of the water time. Your team must be in the weigh-in line by 5:00pm.
  • All teams whether in the Hooters Redfish Bonanza or not, must be in the weigh station line. Every team will have a team picture taken.

Weight- ALL FISH MUST BE BROUGHT BACK TO THE WEIGH STATION

Weigh Station Hours Are: 12:00-5:00 pm

Weights will be awarded only for fish caught and released in good condition. Every effort should be made to assure the live release of all fish. Redfish, Snook, Trout and Snapper will be counted based on the heaviest weight in each species.

TOURNAMENT HOURS

Official tournament start time, with lines in the water, is 7:00 AM. Official tournament end time, with lines out of water is 5:00 PM. All teams must be in the weigh-in line at the weigh station by the 5:00pm horn blast. No lines are allowed in water from 9:00 PM the evening of the Captains Rules Meeting, and time between call of lines out of water and lines in water after first day of fishing. This includes “bait fishing”, such as Ladyfish. No passing of anything from boat to boat during tournament hours. (7:00 AM -5:00 PM daily)

TACKLE REQUIREMENTS

The Caloosa Catch & Release is an inshore tournament. All fish must be caught with rod & reel, hook & line. Fish caught by any other means do not count as a tournament fish. Line test is angler’s choice. No line restriction. Baits: fly, live bait, natural baits, and artificial lures are allowed.

Other Rules & Information

All boats must stay 50 feet away from other vessels, with the exception of pass fishing, breakdown or emergency. Holding of fishing holes or chumming of holes by another boat is not allowed. Breaking any of these rules is strictly prohibited. Any team or team member breaking any of these rules will result in disqualification for the whole team, and possibly for the entire Caloosa Tournament Series.
